About Us
David's Tabernacle School (DTS) of Dance
Brenda A. Nelson, Founder and Director of David’s Tabernacle School of Worship, Praise & Dance was given this scripture and under the direction of the Holy Spirit launched DTS Dance in the summer of 2009. The dance ministry was immediately formed in a friends garage with six members of Grace Church International, formally Total Grace Christian Center. Since its inception the dance ministry has expanded to include adult and children’s dance troupes, and has ministered in more than 50 churches, conferences, and events.
With a firm hand and a continued standard of excellence we always ensure that our students and team members embody our vision, which is “to raise up dancers who will seek The Lord and show forth his Glory through worship and praise so that salvation, healing and deliverance can come forth to all nations.”
Students are taught an array of multicultural dances, which include dance basics such as leaps, jumps, turns, layouts, rolls, and more. They are also instructed how and when to use liturgical pageantry and props such as tambourines, flags, streamers and drums.
Our dance Director is a firm believer that dance has the power to save souls, and it is for this reason that every performance that is done by DTS is done with the Lord and his teaching in the fore front to ensure that souls are saved.
Just as Preachers use their voice as an instrument to preach the gospel, DTS uses dance to minister the gospel.
Meet Our Team
BRENDA NELSON - FOUNDER & DANCE DIRECTOR
As Founder of DTS Dance, she is a firm believer that spreading the word and teachings of the Lord through the art of dance is an ideal way to reach as many people as possible. Her high level of Spirituality and firm beliefs are her driving forces behind DTS dance.
SHANNON COLLINS - OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Shannon joined the DTS Family in 2009. Being a firm believer of what DTS stands for, coupled with her own personal beliefs, she has dedicated her time and expertise in the areas of Operation and Administration.
ESSIE MAJOR - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Through her stalwart an friendly demeanor she seeks to instill a nature of Love for praise and worship in every student and team member that is apart of DTS Dance. Through her dedication to DTS and the Lord, both herself and Brenda are working hand in hand to for all community based activity, while ensuring that the Mission, Vision and Standards of DTS are always upheld.

Just like all the other team members, I too have a deep link and admiration to God and being a part of this team has been a pleasure of mine.

DTS Dance Classes
